New Reader Magazine Contest FAQ
- Anyone over the age of 18 may enter.
- The contest ends February 27, 2018.
- One entry per person.
- Only one winner will be chosen for the magazine.
- The winner will have their art featured on the cover of New Reader Magazine and a three-page feature spread on their work.
- The winner will receive 300 USD for their work.
- The winning entry may not be sold or published anywhere else without written consent by New Reader Magazine.

- Entries must have COVER ENTRY included in the title. The body of the email must include the entrant’s name, age, email address, and website if the entrant has one.
New Reader Magazine Contest Rules
Theme: The theme for the first issue of New Reader Magazine is “Multivision.” The design must be in only black, white, and red.
Anyone over eighteen (18) at the time of entry is eligible to enter.
Participants will submit a PNG file as an attachment to email@example.com. Resolution must be at least 2250x3300 and the image must be in portrait orientation at this aspect ratio.
All emails must include the entrant’s name, age, email address, and should include the entrant’s website if they have one.
We only allow a maximum of one (1) entry per person.
All entries must be the entrant’s original, unpublished, and previously unproduced work. If New Reader Magazine is notified that any element of an entrant’s entry infringes upon the rights of another person, the entry will be disqualified from the contest.
At the end of the submission period (February 27, 2018), New Reader Magazine’s official panel of judges will select a winner for the New Reader Magazine Cover Contest.
The winning entry will be the cover for New Reader Magazine’s first quarterly issue (January–March 2018). If chosen, the work must not be published anywhere else online or otherwise without express permission from New Reader Magazine.
Winning entry will receive $300 USD and a three-page feature containing the artist’s work and profile.
Officers, directors, and employees of New Reader Magazine and its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, distributors, advertising, and promotion agencies (such individuals and entities collectively, the “promotion entities”), and the immediate family members of and/or people living in the same household as any such officers, directors, or employees are NOT eligible to enter the contest or win a prize. This contest is void where prohibited.
No substitutions or new versions of submission will be accepted under any circumstances once the original entry is submitted for consideration. Any submission that is considered by New Reader Magazine at its sole and absolute discretion to be objectionable, in whole or in part, will be disqualified and will not be eligible for entry. Except as otherwise stated in these Official Rules, personal information collected online in connection with this contest will be used in accordance with New Reader Magazine privacy practices and with the consent given by entrants at the time of entry. Any communication or information transmitted to New Reader Magazine and/or the website by email or otherwise is and will be treated as nonconfidential and nonproprietary. New Reader Magazine will use the personal information collected for this contest to identify the winner(s), and, with permission, announce the winner(s).
Selected entries will be featured for publication in the magazines. Some entries will be posted on the New Reader Magazine website. New Reader Magazine will post only first and last names, age, state/country, and photo of entrants (if available) with their art on the website, social media sites, and in our publication(s).
New Reader Magazine will post the first name, last name, age, state/country, photo, and artist profile bio of the winning entry.
Submissions will not be returned or acknowledged. Proof of submission is not considered proof of delivery to or receipt of such entry. New Reader Magazine shall have no liability for any submission that is lost, intercepted, or not received by New Reader Magazine for any reason.
